In the morning of 31 March, the grand foundation laying ceremony of Yixing Wanda Plaza, located in Dongjiu New Town, Yixing, was held. It marked the leap of Yixing’s commercial ranking, office environment, and lifestyle level to the top international level.

On the day of the ceremony, over one hundred people including Standing Member of the Wuxi Municipal Committee and Secretary of Yixing Municipal Committee, Jiang Hongliang, the Mayor Wang Zhongsu, relevant leaders of the Yixing municipal government, Vice President of Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Qi Jie, Chairman of Far East Group Jiang Xipei, General Manager of Yixing Wanda Plaza Wang Bo, key leaders of subsidiary departments of Yixing, and the media and press from Yixing, attended the ceremony at which the foundation stone was laid for the construction. At the ceremony, Qi Jie said that Yixing Wanda Plaza, as the representative of Wanda Group’s third generation commercial property, “urban complex”, will raise Yixing’s commercial level significantly with its top global business model, pushing Yixing’s commerce towards a more fashionable, modern, comprehensive, international, and experimental direction.

Yixing Wanda Plaza is located in Dongjiu New Town in Yixing, reaching Donghong East Road to the south, Fengyin Road to the west, Dongjiu Road to the east, and Yangxian East Road to the north. With total investment of about RMB3.5 billion, this is the showpiece of Wanda’s third generation urban complex. The plaza comprises an international shopping center, a commercial pedestrian mall, a 5A-grade super high-rise office building, a six-star hotel, a luxury residential building by the lake. It is massive in size, equipped with all the facilities for luxurious living, including multi-faceted businesses, comprehensive functions, boutique fashion, restaurants, leisure and entertainment, as well as recreational activities.
